Stanton Friedman

Stan Friedman bioNuclear physicist, author and lecturer Stanton T. Friedman received his BSc and MSc degrees in physics from the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956. For 14 years he worked in the United States for top defense contractors on classified programs, which included nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and various compact nuclear power-plants for space and terrestrial applications.

He became interested in UFOs in 1958, and since 1967 has lectured on the subject at more than 600 colleges and 100 professional groups in all 50 US states, all 10 Canadian provinces and 18 other countries. He has published more than 90 UFO papers and has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs including Larry King, and many documentaries. He has undertaken research at 20 document archives, and is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident.

He co-authored Crash at Corona: The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident, and several other major books including TOP SECRET/MAJIC, and three books with Kathleen Marden: Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience, Science Was Wrong: Startling Truths about Cures, Theories, and Inventions ‘They’ Declared Impossible and Fact, Fiction and Flying Saucers.

On July 2, 2010, he was inducted into the Roswell UFO Hall of Fame for his long-term investigative efforts on that important case.

Stan was presented with a Lifetime UFO Achievement Award in Leeds, England, in 2002, by UFO Magazine of the UK. The City of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, declared August 27, 2007, Stanton Friedman Day.
